Reading (with Goodreads, and Foliate)
I made a Goodreads account yesterday. It's useful.
I added some books that I've read over the years too.
It's been really helpful with keeping track of which books I'm reading. I almost exclusively read e-books, and it's easy to forget that a book exists when it's just a link or a file.
I don't like audiobooks. I can't concentrate that well on spoken words for an extended period of time. And besides, I can read things faster and re-read a line if I don't understand it.
Currently Reading:
- The Stranger by Albert Camus
- I Am a Strange Loop by Douglas Hofstadter
- The Art of Hunting Humans by Sidney Mazzi
Software for Reading:
I use foliate
for reading books in almost every file format except for PDFs. For those I use Firefox or xreader
.
Random Thoughts at the End
I misplaced some books that I was reading before I finished them. I didn't add them to Goodreads. Maybe if I find them again, I'll add them as "Currently Reading".
As a reminder for myself, here are some of them:
- A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
- The Contortionist's Handbook
